Do I tip the Captain? If so, how much?

Tips are greatly appreciated, but not expected. Our Captains are highly qualified and have a skill set that few possess. It is up to your discretion if or how much you tip. Tips are accepted by cash/card or we can charge your card on file.

What do I wear?

It’s Oregon! If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes. Summer temps range from 45-70+ and can include rain, thunderstorms, wind and rainbows. Temperatures on the water can be 10-15 degrees colder when you factor in wind chill and there are no covers on the boats.  but the boat is mostly covered and we also provide free – extra coats, just in case, but we also ask you to bring your own. There is some space on the boat to store away if not needed. Hats, jackets, sunglasses, and sunblock are encouraged.

Will I get wet?

Seldom – although depends generally on outside temperature. Plan accordingly and protect your valuables with waterproof materials – just in case.

Can I take photos during the tour?

The Captain offers numerous times where we idle down and are allowed to move about freely and photography is a big part of our program, so cameras of course encouraged.
